Cooking with my eyes closed

Nurul tagged me in a note about Singapore and hawker food. My stomach was nostalgic for a little while. Justin is amused at my double standards about food. When I eat in New York, I'm all vegetarian and organic. When I eat in Singapore, it's always pile-on-the-chilli-and-oil-and-all-the-good-shit. "We gotta replicate that shit in summer," I told him. "You'll never make it past pouring the oil," he said. "I got it," I told him, "I will cook with my eyes closed."

whyyy is that inappropriate? or more accurately, which part of my comment is inappropriate?? haha i dont think you need to get married for my mom to make you a cake, really, but she does like making wedding cakes. =))) ya she -would- probably make you a cake (or more) per wedding. me visiting the us is becoming a very high possibility now that every bloody person graduating from the uk this year wants to do their masters in the us and i will therefore be aloooone hereeeeee.

the marriage part is inappropriate! but i think if i had to have a wedding cake, i would choose the gold mine cake for my wedding that she just posted. hm she could bury the ring in it. i'd be so happy to see you in new york! when you think you're gonna be here?
